BRIEF

The brief was to explore what kind of challenges Viaplay might face as the winter sports broadcasts were moved from SVT to Viaplay in 2019. How could Viaplay create a smooth transition for the viewers?

RESEARCH 

The research was made through qualitative interviews as well as analyzing material provided by Viaplay Group AB.

INSIGHTS

— People are very positive towards the winter broadcasts, but less so towards the change of broadcaster
— The majority of viewers are above 65 years old
— People within this group are not very familiar with streaming services
— There's a digital exclusion within the older generation 
— The most crucial moments to keep a customer longterm is within the first nine days of his or her signed membership
— The iPad is the most frequently used digital device above the age of 65​​​​​​​
